For the perfect introduction to the island of eternal spring, this full day tour of Tenerife's main sights is just the ticket. We'll explore secluded villages, marvel at the summits of the west and discover towns such as La Oratava, Puerto de la Cruz and Candelaria.

Leaving Playa de las Americas, you'll head straight for the impressive summits of the west coast for a dramatic sight journey through Santiago del Teide as we climb towards Erjos, a rustic hamlet in the foothills of the Teno highlands. From here, there are views of Teide volcano and over the island. We'll then descend to El Tanque – keep an eye out for Roque of Garachico, a green-topped craggy island lying just offshore.

Continue to La Orotava, known for its lush gardens, colonial architecture and handicrafts market. We'll round off the day with a visit to Candelaria and its seafront basilica.
