We begin our visit to Pirámides de Güimar, a large open-air museum that brings together several routes and specialized gardens around pyramidal structures oriented to the sun on key astronomical dates. We will walk through its Poisonous Garden which houses more than 70 poisonous plant species from all over the world. A unique exhibition in the Canary Islands, which in its 1,500 m2 brings together some of the most toxic plants on the planet.
The Poisonous Garden, besides being conceived to promote knowledge, conservation and enjoyment of a different botanical collection, also aims, from a recreational perspective, to educate and raise awareness about the danger to man of the poisons present in the plant world.
We will continue our route with the visit to Candelaria, where next to the beach, stands the basilica in honor of the Virgin of Candelaria, patron saint of the Canary Islands, surrounded by imposing bronze Guanches statues. A half-day excursion that will allow you to discover a little more about the culture of our Guanche aborigines!
