Welcome to Potluck Improvs Global Majority Improv Jam!

Come in, grab some food, chat with new folks, swap stories, then get cozy for our Living Room improv jam! This is a space for Global Majority folks to share food and stories related to their culture and watch as it inspires people around the room to get up and start a scene!

Absolutely no previous performance experience is required. We want to encourage people in the Global Majority whove been curious about improv to come and get to know each other in a safe space, over food and stories, or give it a go and start a scene!

The jam will mainly be in English, but all of us are multilingual and stories and scenes in other languages are more than welcome.

Food is included in the ticket cost but there is a minimum purchase requirement from the bar so we can support the space and help them to continue hosting these beautiful community events!

What does Global Majority mean?

Global majority refers to people who are black, Asian, brown, mixed-heritage, indigenous to the global south, and or have been racialized as 'ethnic minorities'" and "represent approximately 80% of the world's population", according to educator and activist Rosemary Campbell-Stephens, who coined the term.
