Tenerife is the largest and most populated island of the Canary archipelago, which is part of Spain. It is located in the Atlantic Ocean, off the northwest coast of Africa.

Agriculture also plays an important role, with crops such as bananas, tomatoes, and potatoes. Canarian cuisine is characterized by simple yet flavorful dishes, including “papas arrugadas” (wrinkled potatoes) with mojo sauce, gofio (toasted cereal flour), fresh fish, and bananas. 

Santa Cruz de Tenerife and La Laguna are the two most important cities. Santa Cruz is the island's capital and also the capital of the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. In addition to the Teide National Park, Tenerife offers a variety of activities, such as hiking, water sports, whale and dolphin watching, and theme parks.
