Del Trópico al Mediterráneo es un cortometraje documental que sigue a siete artistas ecuatorianos que migraron a Barcelona y siguen creando lejos de casa. A través de testimonios íntimos y recorridos por sus espacios de creación, el documental revela qué los llevó a migrar, cómo se transforma su obra en la distancia y de qué manera mantienen vivo su vínculo con Ecuador.

Why does an artist leave their country?
From the Tropics to the Mediterranean is a short documentary film that follows seven Ecuadorian artists who migrated to Barcelona and continue to create far from home. Through intimate testimonies and journeys through their creative spaces, the documentary reveals what led them to migrate, how their work is transformed by distance, and how they keep their bond with Ecuador alive.
For the first time, Ecuadorian art in Barcelona sees itself on the big screen. One screening only. One night only.
