Participate in a walk past the lava of one of the last volcanic eruptions that occurred in Lanzarote (1730 - 1736) that covered a third part of the island. Before going to explore these volcanic lands, you will learn the history of the formation of the island and its eruptive processes paying particular attention to those of Lanzarote, especially the last two eruptions. With this route you will be able to understand the processes and see the different forms created from these eruptions: lava fields like malpaises and cordadas (AA and Pahoehoe), tunnels, craters, hornitos, etc.

Understand the processes that buried numerous villages and farming meadows like Chimanfaya, Mazo, Santa Catalina, Masintafe or Tingafa. Discover and recreate how the grape cultivation originated in La Geria and admire the shapes and colors that appear from the palette of an artist.

Although you may not believe it but the Los Volcanes Natural Park is also home to reptiles and birds that have adapted to the conditions of the park. It includes unique species of fauna and flora: the hawk, the kestrel, the raven or the tawny pipit among the birds; The Atlantic Lizard, the most important reptile; or lichens, the first settlers in recent lavas. As for the plant species you will see the vinegrower, the bejeque de malpais or the purpurario gongarillo.

End the route with a stroll through the protected landscape of La Geria, where you will see how wine is cultivated in one of the most unique ways in the world.
